THE CHASE OF PERFECT LIFE

What is perfect life? Well by definition it means flawless life. Is it even possible?

Before reading, I would want you to change your definition of perfect life. Perfect life means little joys that we get every day amidst thousand of problems, and nothing really in life is a problem, it's a possibility.
Perfect life is not concrete, it varies with people. What might be perfect for one, may not be for another.

WHAT A NORMAL LIFE OF A PERSON LOOKS LIKE?

- birth
- crawl, and eventually walk
- Pre-school, ABCD, Poems
- School, friends, play, homework
- Studies, exams, holidays
- Distinction
- Graduation, fun, Outings
- Post-graduation and dreams
- Job, parents proud
- House, car, etc
- Marriage, Romance, honeymoon
- Trips
- kid, and those sleepless nights
- Life insurance, savings, future
- Kids education, school, tuitions
- Kid independent, his/her marriage
- Retirement and pension
- Temples, visiting people, and our kids
- Death and buried.

Different events from success to downfall to unexpected surprises make this life interesting.

MEANING OF PERFECTION FOR DIFFERENT PEOPLE:

Case 1 -  A rich man's ( say Elon musk ) perfect life would be to have a peaceful life and more time with his family, leaving aside his work.

Case 2 -  A person with a big family would want to have a spacious house and would want everyone to be at peace

Case 3 -  A perfect life for a farmer would be to have a good harvest and food for his family.

Can you notice any similarities despite the definition of perfection being different for different people? Everyone is looking for satisfaction. Instead of chasing perfection, they are chasing satisfaction.

We change over time, and so does our definition of perfection.
For a toddler, perfect life  might be to get as many chocolates as he/she can and get an endless amount of toys with less homework
For a teenager, perfect life would be to look best, to be the topper, and to be loved by everyone.
For a young man, perfect life would be to get a job with a good payment and to marry their loved one
For a middle-aged man, a perfect life would be their kids doing well in school and having good relations with their partner.
For old men, perfect life would be their son's and grandson's visiting them often and them being at peace.

By now, I am sure you must be knowing that perfect life is relative and within our lifespan our image of perfect life changes. So, the chase of perfect life has no dead end.

WHAT'S THE WAY TO END THIS CHASE?

Have a glance at this picture? Are they chasing the so-called perfect life? They are happy despite not having access to all the comforts that we have in our life. We feel perfection in life will bring us happiness. These children do have dreams but still, without them, they look happy. Why? Because they are grateful and satisfied with whatever things they have. Shakespeare once said, "I cried when I had no shoes, but I stopped crying when I saw a man without legs. Life is full of blessings, sometimes we don't value it."

PERFECT LIFE VS HAPPY LIFE

What will you do with this house if you are alone in it? Having a Perfect life and happy life has a difference. You won't be happy and feel lonely despite having all luxuries if people around you don't like you. Perfect life stems from desires. Happiness is when you stop chasing perfection and your desires. When you forgo everything that chains you down, that's when you will be happy.  Happiness is a state of mind whereas perfection is a greater illusion than the illusion of immortality. If we consider our current life as perfect then so it will be. It's all about being satisfied and grateful.

How the perfect life idea starts ?

When we compare lives that's when we start to build up desires and start to complain about the way things are. It's more important to live a meaningful life. If we will focus on ourselves and give our best every day, our life will be happy. But if we continue complaining and comparing then we will find an endless amount of scarcities in our way of living. Life always looks easy for the people with whom you compare. But remember things that look beautiful from afar are not necessarily like that when you go near. You are not really aware of the amount of stress they have. They have problems too. But it's this human tendency that attracts us to the things which we don't have.

It's the approach of one's attitude that leads to a perfect and happy life and that is the attitude of gratitude. The more you will chase perfection, the further it will appear. Focus more on building healthy relationships with people around you by spreading kindness and love. Look at the flowers in forests, the soil has numerous amounts of insects, dirt, and dead creatures still it manages to produce its refreshing scent. Similarly, amidst all the problems, you can develop your life and character in a way that will be pleasing for people around you.

A peaceful, happy, and meaningful life is more important than perfect life. Chasing for it will mostly detach you from the world. Some things aren't meant for us, and life has a reason for everything that happens. Don't stress on things that don't come on your beautiful ride of life, you will eventually be where you are meant to be.

    1. Thank you for pointing that out..but grammatically "they marriage" is not correct..You cannot always use they with his/her , that doesn't fit the sentence often..And if i were to add it , it breaks the flow of words..
